You can find your public SSH key on your local machine by default in the following location: ~/.ssh/id_rsa.pub or ~/.ssh/id_dsa.pub.

If you store your public key in a different location, you need to specify that location.

If neither of those files exist, create them with this command:

If you are on Windows and using PuTTY to generate your keys (puttygen.exe), ensure that you use the key listed in the box labeled Public key for pasting into OpenSSH authorized_keys file.
