Files
Files is a place for online storage, backup, and sharing of documents, images, and other kinds of files. You can upload up to five files at once, and specify the groups you want them placed in.
There is no size limit on files uploaded to your Connector (however email attachments, do have a 20MB size limit).
Example
You have been hard at work compiling a list of possible gifts for Jill and realize everyone coming to the party could use a copy of it. You upload the file to your Connector and share it with everyone in your group of Connector users and email it to everyone else.

Upload a folder of files
To upload a folder (consisting of multiple files)
- zip it up as an archive
- upload it as a single file
Preview a File
For some file types, you can view an inline preview of the file without downloading it.
- Go to the item you want to preview
- Click Open Preview (This feature also works in peek views)
Download a File
After a file has been uploaded to Joyent Connector, you may download your own or other users’ files to your hard drive or network.
- Go to the item you want to download
- Click the Download button on the top-right of the item panel (This feature also works in peek views)
Pushing out a file via Email
You can email a file directly from the Files application.
- Go to the item you want to mail, or select multiple items by using the check boxes in the first column of the Files list view.
- Click the Mail File control in the toolbar
- Connector creates a new email message w/the selected file(s) as attachments
Connecting to Connector version of Strongspace via sFTP
Within the Files area of the Connector is a Strongspace folder. This folder (and it’s subfolders) may be accessed via sFTP.
- Use:
username@subdomain.joyent.netfor the username and strongspace.joyent.net for the host.
