Account Logins and Important URLs

Here is a list of important login credentials and URLs for your Accelerator account.

For each URL listed below you will need to substitute YOURPUBLICIP with the IP address of the actual server (Accelerator) for your account. YOURPUBLICIP will have been sent to you in your welcome email.

VirtualMin

This is the main web control panel, installed and running when you receive your new Accelerator. You can use VirtualMin to manage your domains (also known as virtual servers), users, user’s privileges, databases, Subversion repositories, and other features of your account.

If you forget or misplace your admin password for Virtualmin, you can easily recover it by using the following URL:

https://YOURPUBLICIP:10000/password-recovery/

You use your admin account to log into VirtualMin.

SSH Access

SSH or secure shell access is a secure way of opening a terminal session on the server.

admin@YOURPUBLICIP

root is not allowed to SSH, first SSH as admin then

su -

SFTP Access

SFTP, or Secure FTP, uses SSH to encrypt and then securely transmit data over a potentially insecure connection. Functionally, SFTP is similar to FTP but offers protection for sensitive data. For security reasons, at Joyent you will only be able to access your account with SFTP, not FTP. Use admin or xxxxxxxx usernames.
