Lead the next generation of cloud

Joyent is looking for an analytical, results-driven product leader with strong technical aptitude and a large dose of creativity. You will represent the voice of the customer and help drive decisions for experiences across our cloud product offerings to grow a loyal, engaged, and successful base. This means leading competitive analysis, customer insights, positioning, GTM, and communications for Joyent products.

This is a unique opportunity to join a fast growing company where you can have a leading role in defining the next generation of public cloud. As the Joyent cloud product manager, you will be responsible for customer success from the moment of customer signup through the provisioning of their first services to celebrating their third year as a customer and beyond. Candidates should be enthusiastic, spirited and able to benefit from a team-oriented environment.

Do this

  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, support, operations, PR, marketing, and peers within the product team to drive growth and customer success
  • Deliver market assessment, quantitative analysis, qualitative feedback to drive product pricing and roadmaps
  • Drive continuous quality improvement across operations, support, and engineering to deliver exceptionally reliable and high performing cloud services
  • Closely watch the customer’s journey through our cloud services, and identify areas for improvement
  • Provide market expertise and insights on customer, industry and competitive behavior to inform market segments, messaging, go-to-market, and product pricing strategy
  • Define and manage comprehensive go-to-market strategy including beta releases, positioning, communication of value proposition, and launch strategy
  • Measure and optimize the buyer journey as it relates to product feature adoption and usage, gather and synthesize feedback
  • Define, monitor, and react to key product and segment metrics

Have that

  • Direct experience building and implementing product strategy, positioning, and messaging
  • Ability to understand what motivates users vs. buyers and a track record of translating that into an effective product strategy
  • Exceptional analytic ability paired with communications that distill insights into action
  • Experience and interest in SaaS and cloud
  • A track record of effectively prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously to drive them to completion
  • Experience influencing cross-functionally and at all management levels to deliver on business goals
