Marketing Operations

Joyent is seeking an experienced, creative, high-energy, passionate individual to manage our marketing operations efforts. You’ll manage driving new customer acquisition through online channels—including social media, in-person, online, events, & other demand gen avenues.

You’ll also get to learn about our digital presence: website, email campaigns & automation, event marketing support, creative design, & graphic/collateral creation. This role will primarily be focused on acquiring new customers, engaging existing customers, & optimizing marketing programs. If you are both a creative thinker & highly analytical, results oriented individual who wants to learn while managing multiple projects autonomously, then this is the role for you.

Job Responsibilities

  • Help develop and implement our processes, tools, metrics, initiatives, infrastructure and technology that supports and improves the operations of Marketing
  • Help establish KPIs and ROI models for marketing programs and rigorously analyze results to improve the effectiveness and efficiencies of all programs
  • Plan and execute quarterly calendar of campaigns to drive prospect interest through integration of e-marketing/direct marketing, webinars/seminars, events, social and other channels that align and achieve the business goals and objectives
  • Collaborate on content creation and develop strategies for its use in demand generation campaigns including include email, direct mail, webinars, and supporting assets
  • Effectively communicate plans and metrics regularly to marketing and sales leadership
  • Drive the creation of emails and content campaign assets – from content creation to development with the design, content and product marketing teams
  • Oversee event programs primarily including tradeshows, webinars, meet ups and roadshows, breakfast meetings, lunch and learns, hands-on workshops, executive/c-level roundtables, and 3rd-party sponsorships.


  • Bachelors Degree
  • 1-2 years’ experience in marketing or equivalent work experience in technology start-up industry.
  • Organized with excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Excellent track record of achievement and growth
  • Smart, Driven, and eager to learn
