Demand Generation Manager

Joyent is seeking an experienced, creative, high-energy, & passionate individual to lead our marketing demand gen efforts. You’ll manage driving new customer acquisition through online channels—including social media, in-person, online, events, & other demand gen avenues.

You’ll also manage the management of our digital presence: website, email campaigns & automation, event marketing support, creative design, & graphic/collateral creation. This role will primarily be focused on acquiring new customers, engaging existing customers, & optimizing marketing programs. If you are both a creative thinker & highly analytical, results oriented individual who can independently manage multiple projects autonomously, then this is the role for you.

Job Responsibilities

  • Direct the development and implementation of processes, tools, metrics, initiatives, infrastructure and technology that will support and improve the operations of the Marketing function
  • Manage marketing automation platform, collaborating with Sales Operations to build new processes and refine customer database
  • Establish KPIs and ROI models for marketing programs and rigorously analyze results to improve the effectiveness and efficiencies of all programs
  • Plan and execute quarterly calendar of campaigns to drive prospect interest through integration of e-marketing/direct marketing, webinars/seminars, events, social and other channels that align and achieve the business goals and objectives
  • Collaborate on content creation and develop strategies for its use in demand generation campaigns including include email, direct mail, webinars, and supporting assets
  • Develop / maintain strategies for inbound and outbound campaigns (e.g., webinars, SEM, social, paid search, content syndication, blog, display, web and email) to generate demand and increase qualified opportunities
  • Build integrated marketing campaigns to include activities such as: awareness, thought leadership, online and interactive marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), event marketing, search engine marketing (SEM), sales enablement, and advertising
  • Effectively communicate plans and metrics regularly to marketing and sales leadership
  • Develop and implement lead nurturing tactics for multiple campaign streams
  • Drive the creation of emails and content campaign assets – from content creation to development with the design, content and product marketing teams
  • Oversee event programs primarily including tradeshows, webinars, meet ups and roadshows, breakfast meetings, lunch and learns, hands-on workshops, executive/c-level roundtables, and 3rd-party sponsorships.


  • Bachelors Degree
  • 3-5 years experience as a marketing leader or equivalent work experience in technology industry.
  • Organized with excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Excellent track record of achievement and growth
