Accounting Analyst

The Accounting Analyst is primarily responsible for assisting in the monthly financial close process, including preparation of month-end journal entries, account reconciliations, and fluctuation analyses, while having exposure to all areas of the accounting function. The Accounting Analyst is also responsible for forecasting & analyzing revenue for standalone business, while assisting in monthly financial reporting and variance analyses.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all duties and responsibilities of Staff Accountant and Billing Specialist
  • Participate in monthly financial close process including, but not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, revenue and deferred revenue including preparation of month-end journal entries, account reconciliations, and fluctuation analyses
  • Facilitate & reconcile integrations between the billing, accounting, and sales tax systems
  • Assist in procure to pay process including coding of expenses and accuracy of bills prior to payment processing
  • Review monthly financial reports & weekly cash flow forecasts
  • Assist in tax reporting requirements with SEA as well as other statutory and compliance reporting from various jurisdictions
  • Implement and document internal controls & procedures, and participate in process improvement projects
  • Work with external auditors, as needed
  • Analyze, report and forecast revenue for standalone business on a monthly and quarterly basis, including budget-to-actual variance analyses.
  • Calculate and vet quarterly calculation for sales commissions, LTIP and management bonus, including preparation of all documentation and reporting
  • Assist with the annual planning and rolling forecast process for standalone business revenue
  • Prepare financial reports and analysis for monthly and quarterly reporting to Korea HQ
  • Deliver on ad-hoc projects / deliverables as necessary

Desired Skills and Experience

  • BA/BS in Finance or Accounting preferred, CPA and/or MBA a plus
  • Minimum 2-4 years of related experience, Big 4 public accounting experience a plus
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent problem solving, research and analytical skills
  • Advanced knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS a plus
  • Netsuite & Zuora system experience a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must be proficient in Excel
  • Strong organization and multi-tasking skills, and flexibility to switch from one project to the next quickly
