====== Changing Your Email Address ====== If you'd like to change your email address information from the one you originally signed up with, you'll need to have it change in two different areas: * Your billing information * Your account under Virtualmin ===== Billing ===== To change your email for billing/account management purposes, [[https://help.joyent.com/index.php?pg=request|submit a ticket]], let us know what the new address is, and we'll change it for you. Make sure this is a current and active address as this is where billing receipts or important communications are sent. Also, make sure that you check your Spam/Junk folder for any emails from us that may have been accidentally flagged as spam. ===== Virtualmin ===== Virtualmin keeps your main account owner email addresses stored and uses it for various purposes, e.g.: * To let you [[retrieve-password|retrieve a lost password]] * To [[resend-welcome|re-send the welcome email]] when you request it * To pre-fill the email address when installing a script on your domain(s) It is therefore good practise to keep your current email stored in Virtualmin at all times. to update your email address in Virtualmin, do the following: - Sign in to Virtualmin (see [[Logins]]). - Select your primary domain from the drop-down in the left-hand navigation, if it isn't already selected (your primary domain should be already selected when you first log into Virtualmin). - Click **Edit Virtual Server**. - Click **Configurable settings**. - Change the value of the //Contact email// field to reflect your new email address (you may need to select the radio button to right of //Administrator's mailbox// to do this). - Click **Save Virtual Server**.
