====== Introducing Joyent Connector ======

The Joyent Connector extends WordPerfect Lightning and adds great tools you can use to communicate and share your work with others.  Connector is easy to learn, with powerful features for managing the information that is important to you.  Connector is Web-based software, so there is nothing for you to install on your computer. You simply access it like any other Website.

The Connector suite consists of a number of online applications: Mail (email), Calendar (event calendar), People (contact management), Files (file storage), Bookmarks (storing urls), and Lists (list/outliner). The suite is expanding, with new applications on the way.

These applications all share a unified and consistent user interface. Each of the applications has the same controls and overall features as the others. Learn one of the applications, and you will soon be using them all.

Connector also has features such as Tagging (similar to categories or keywords), Smart Groups (that allow you to bring items into one folder that match your criteria), and a Workspace (that tie the different applications together in one place).

People use Connector in a variety of settings, both at home and at the office. It is used in businesses ranging from sole proprietors and small businesses, to small teams or groups within larger organizations.  It is also used by individuals, couples, and families. It is simple to add users and for users to share information. It is just as simple to limit other user's access to your information.

Connector includes easy-to-use tools to make this collaboration productive. For instance, you can ‘notify’ other users of an item, as a way to bring it to their attention. You can add ‘comments’ (brief notes) to any item, and respond to comments made by other users. You can invite other users to events on your calendar.

With Connector, you can stick to the basic yet powerful features, or dig in and make use of more advanced features.  It is truly customizable based on your own needs. 

All of your information is available to you from any Web browser. Since your data resides on Joyent's own cutting-edge, highly-redundant infrastructure, you can be assured that your data is safe and secure. You can also download your data and save it on your computer at any time.
